What we do

Projects of all types

If you have a home project in mind, inside or outside, I'd love to talk to you about it. Smaller projects from one hour to one week that other contractors have told you are too small for their time are my specialty. No job is too small but I do have a $150 minimum charge.

If you can swing a hammer at it, put a screw in it, turn a wrench on it, weld it, or make it run chances are it’s something I have worked on or will work on.

Full disclosure, while no job is too small, many really are too big, even though I have done some massive projects and renovations on my own, as a one man show its difficult for me to do large jobs in an efficient and timely enough manner to make sense within the scope of the business. Bigger outfits have crews and they have them for a reason, in many cases having even one extra helper doesn't just cut the job time in half it more like triples it or better. It makes little sense for me to struggle through a job that should really have 2 or 3 people on it to do efficiently, especially if you are paying by the hour.

If you need a giant deck built, an addition added to your home, or a massive remodel, I am probably not the right fit for you. For example: If you want your bathroom taken down to the studs, all the fixtures moved, and a new layout including bumping out a wall for a walk in shower I am probably not a good fit. However, if you just want a new floor installed in the bathroom and to replace the vanity with an updated one, now that is something we can talk about.

I was always taught if you are going to do something do it right, don’t cut corners and take pride in your work. I strive for professionalism and great communication. If you leave me a message or send me an email I will get back to you in a timely manner, you can hold me to that.

About Us

I have always been an avid DIY guy. I have rehabbed 3 homes built between 1850 and 1870 as well as working on new construction and everything in between. I enjoy working with recycled and salvaged materials as well as creative projects that are more than just off the shelf box store components. I  spent several years working as maintenance mechanic at a few of the larger manufacturing companies in Vermont. The pay and benefits were comfortable, but as it turns out working all day in a factory is not nearly as glamorous as the fairy tales make it out to be. I always found the multitude of house rehabilitation and building projects I did outside of work to be a lot more fulfilling. After years of having no good answer to people’s repeated question “why do you not do this full time?”, I finally decided to quit the safety net of my secure well paying day job and take the plunge.
